The injuries are now piling up for the New York Jets. After their impressive Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Jets got hit with yet another big injury. As per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, safety Marcus Maye broke his right thumb which was in a cast following Sunday’s game.
This doesn’t bode well for the defensive secondary of the Jets as already, cornerback Trumaine Johnson is dealing with a strained quadriceps injury and cornerback Buster Skrine has a nagging concussion injury.
For now, it looks like head coach Todd Bowles might have a rotation at safety involving Terrence Brooks and Doug Middleton.
