At this point in time, the New York Jets have the No. 3 overall pick after making a blockbuster trade with the Indianapolis Colts to move up in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Jets swapped picks with the Colts and for it to happen, general manager Mike Maccagnan had to part ways with a lot of draft capital.
Just to move up three spots in the first round, Maccagnan had to part ways with two second-round picks in this year’s draft and the Jets second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Luckily, he was wise enough to keep the Jets first-round pick in next year’s draft but moving up yet again in this year’s draft will likely require parting ways with that too.
