The Jets have re-signed LS Tanner Purdum.
After originally joining the Green & White on a reserve/future contract on Feb. 2, 2010, the 6’3”, 270-pound Purdum has served as the team’s long snapper the past seven seasons. He has not missed a game during that span, appearing in all 112 regular-season contests.
The 32-year-old Purdum began his NFL career with the Chiefs in the 2009 preseason, was a final cut and then came to the Jets the following February. Purdum has the second-longest tenure on the Jets, trailing only ILB David Harris.
