Looking back on Geno Smith’s Jets career — likely now done

Three years after being selected in the second round by the Jets, it appears Geno Smith has thrown his final pass for the team.

The news of Smith’s torn ACL on Monday means Smith’s season is over and with it his Jets’ career likely ends, too. Smith is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March. All indications have been the team has no interest in bringing him back.

If this is indeed the end, Smith’s final completion as a Jet was a 7-yard pass to Matt Forte, his final touchdown the 69-yard catch and run by Quincy Enunwa, and his final play the sack that ended with him clutching his knee.
