In between the days of the “New York Sack Exchange” and today’s “Sons of Anarchy” there was not a lot to write home about for the most part when it comes to the New York Jets front seven. There was however a quite formidable group on the defensive line in the early 2000’s after the team selected Shaun Ellis and John Abraham with the 12th and 13th picks in the 2000 NFL Draft. Teamed up with guys such as Jason Ferguson, Bryan Thomas, Marvin Jones, Mo Lewis, Victor Hobson and Jonathan Vilma, the Jets had a solid front seven that could even be spectacular from time to time.
