Looking Back: NY Jet’s Shaun Ellis

In between the days of the “New York Sack Exchange” and today’s “Sons of Anarchy” there was not a lot to write home about for the most part when it comes to the New York Jets front seven. There was however a quite formidable group on the defensive line in the early 2000’s after the team selected Shaun Ellis and John Abraham with the 12^th and 13^th picks in the 2000 NFL Draft. Teamed up with guys such as Jason Ferguson, Bryan Thomas, Marvin Jones, Mo Lewis, Victor Hobson and Jonathan Vilma, the Jets had a solid front seven that could even be spectacular from time to time.
