The Rangers are going streaking.
When they face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday night, the Rangers will have the opportunity to tie their franchise record for longest winning streak at 10 games.
The Blueshirts have twice reached a 10-game winning streak in their 89-year history.
In the 1939-40 season, their streak started at home with a win against the Montreal Canadiens on Dec. 19, 1939 and extended until Jan. 14, 1940 when they traveled to Chicago and fell to the Blackhawks.
New York hit the same mark in the 1972-73 season when they defeated the California Golden Seals on Jan.
