Well, no one is going to be complaining about Le’Veon Bell’s touches this week.
The Jets on Saturday ruled out their starting running back for Sunday’s home game against the Dolphins. Bell did not practice Thursday or Friday because of an illness. The Jets sent him home Friday, leaving open the possibility he would not play.
Bell was one of several Jets players to miss practice time this week because of illness. Tight end Ryan Griffin and cornerback Maurice Canady both missed practice on Wednesday.
“He is sick, probably the same thing that is going around a lot of these other teams,” Gase said of Bell on Friday.
