Adam Gase may have to do some damage control with his star running back.
Sources said told The Post’s Brian Costello that Gase was not in favor of paying Le’Veon Bell as much as the Jets did (four years, $52.5 million), feeling they could get him at a lower price. Gase also wanted to sign center Matt Paradis and tight end Darren Fells, but Mike Maccagnan, who was fired as the Jets’ general manager on Wednesday, did not.
Bell took to Twitter Wednesday night saying he’s not going to get caught up in the Jets’ palace intrigue.
