New Jets running back Le’Veon Bell has not been around the team that much this spring, choosing instead to work out on his own in Florida.
Jets coach Adam Gase repeated Friday that he can’t get upset with Bell because all of this is voluntary. Gase said he does expect Bell to be at the mandatory minicamp on June 4-6.
“We had a conversation about what was his schedule,” Gase said. “We’ll see how the OTAs go. I know with the mandatory stuff that he said that he was going to be here for that. I don’t expect him to not show up for that.
