Le’Veon Bell has been dreaming of playing for the Jets since he was a young boy in Ohio. Now, that dream has become a reality.
Bell officially signed his four-year, $52.5 million contract Thursday and spoke to the media on a conference call shortly after. The star running back said the Jets were where he wanted to land all along. He said “the stars kind of aligned” to bring him here.
Bell said he grew up in a family of Steelers fans, but he fell in love with Curtis Martin and the Jets.
“In all reality, the Jets were kind of the team that I kind of had in the back of my mind where I wanted to go,” Bell said.
