On Saturday, the New York Jets will have a legendary offensive lineman getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. Center Kevin Mawae played eight seasons for the Jets from 1998-05. He previously played for the Seahawks from 1994-97 and for the Titans from 2006-09.
Speaking to NBC sideline reporter Michele Tafoya during Thursday night’s Hall of Fame game, Mawae made it known that it still hasn’t hit him yet.
“It’s been absolutely surreal. I’m still pinching myself,” Mawae said. “I think Monday was the first time it really dawned on me that I’m getting into the Hall of Fame.
