Special teams star Rontez Miles will, unfortunately, miss some serious time this offseason due to a torn meniscus in his knee. The New York Jets safety needed surgery to begin a lengthy rehab process that will sideline him for the next three months as confirmed by Rich Cimini of ESPN.
When the Jets recently signed free agent safety J.J. Wilcox, it didn’t make sense at the time until news on Miles broke out. It’s expected that since Miles will miss all of training camp and preseason action, Wilcox will fit the bill in his absence.
