There was a good news/bad news element to the record-setting day Jets kicker Jason Myers delivered in the Jets’ 42-34 win over the Colts on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Most importantly and most impressively, Myers set a franchise record by connecting on all seven field-goal attempts in the game, tying an NFL record. Three of his kicks were from 45 or more yards, and his total of 274 yards on the seven successful field goals set an NFL record.
All good for Myers, whom the Jets signed in August with their kicking situation very much in flux.
