OAKLAND, Calif -- It was a bit puzzling. As the Jets trotted out their 3-, and 4-receiver packages in Sunday's 45-20 loss to the Raiders, rookies ArDarius Stewart (third round) and Chad Hensen (fourth) were rarely on the field.
Instead, the Jets turned to veteran Jeremy Kerley and second-year pro Charone Peake. Slightly puzzling, considering this year is supposed to be about developing the young players on the roster.
Kerley played 44 offensive snaps, and Peake 11. The two combined for four catches for 17 yards. Stewart played eight snaps and Hansen two. Neither were targeted.
