The Jets and Giants were among 13 NFL teams to watch former Heisman Trophy winner and 2014 first-round pick Johnny Manziel throw at the University of San Diego on Thursday afternoon, ESPN reported. The Bears, Browns, Chargers, Chiefs, Patriots, Raiders, Titans, Lions, Jaguars, Panthers and Buccaneers along with the two New York teams watched Manziel’s throwing session.
It was San Diego’s Pro Day and Manziel agreed to throw for some of the interested NFL teams.
As some Jets officials were watching Manziel, general manager Mike Maccagnan, coach Todd Bowles and offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates attended a private workout of UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen Thursday morning in Los Angeles.
