Former Jets general manager John Idzik has landed a new full-time job in the NFL. The Jaguars have hired him as special assistant to the general manager, the Florida Times-Union reported.
Idzik had been working as a consultant for the Jaguars since March mainly working on the salary cap. But Caldwell said in his new role he will do more than that.
“He’ll do a little bit of everything,” Caldwell told the paper. “He’s a great cultural fit for us. He has a great understanding of the salary cap and the different ways to do a contract.
