To most Jets players, Wednesday was just another training camp practice under the humid sun, another day to get closer to the season.
But to Shaq Evans, it was a milestone.
It was the team’s sixth practice of camp — one more than he was able to participate in a year ago when he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury that required surgery.
“This is my career high,” the 6-foot-1 receiver said jokingly.
Evans was unsure if he would even have a spot with the Jets amid the organizational turnover when coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik were fired.
