Jets' Fitzpatrick out for game with hand injury

OAKLAND, Calif. -- New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick left the game on the first series Sunday against the Oakland Raiders after suffering a hand injury on a 12-yard scramble.

He was seen with a wrap on his left hand and is questionable to return.

Fitzpatrick was replaced by the man he replaced in the preseason, Geno Smith, who made his 2015 debut. Smith, the Jets' starter in 2013 and 2014, lost his job in August when his jaw was broken by then-teammate IK Enemkpali in a locker room altercation.
