The New York Jets are a team that we all know is far from perfect and needs plenty of upgrades, but one thing we’ve seen in recent weeks is that while rookie quarterback Sam Darnold is looking more comfortable inside and outside the pocket, there are a few pass catchers who are showing that they could pay big-time dividends for the Jets moving forward.
Wide receiver Robby Anderson, tight end Chris Herndon and running back Elijah McGuire have all seen a significant uptick in production as their reps and targets have increased.
In the case of Anderson, he was getting plenty of reps in Jeremy Bates’ offense, but the problem was that his targets were far lower than they should have been.
