The New York Jets worked out free agent S Harold Jones-Quartey, OT Storm Norton and DE Owa Odighizuwa on Tuesday, according to Howard Balzer.
Of this group, the Jets signed Jones-Quartey to their practice squad.
Odighizuwa, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $3.16 million rookie contract and set to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the final two years of the agreement when he was waived during the preseason.
In a surprising move, Odighizuwa decided to not attend the Giants’ minicamp and posted a tweet in which he hinted at possibly retiring from the NFL.
