The New York Jets announced Monday that they’ve waived WR Devin Smith with an injury designation and signed WR Deshon Foxx.
This means that if Smith clears waivers on Tuesday, he would revert to their injured reserve list.
The Jets announced close to a month ago that Smith suffered a torn ACL during OTAs and was out for the 2017 season.
Smith, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $5.872 million rookie contract that includes $3.
