Jets waived/injured UDFA WR Brisly Estime, who tore ACL in practice

Brisly Estime's season is over before it ever began.

The versatile receiver/returner, who signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in May, tore his ACL in the team's second organized team activity Wednesday, according to his official Twitter account.

The Jets announced Thursday they waived Estime with an injury designation. Once he clears waivers, he'll revert to the Jets' injured reserve.

"Unfortunately, as you may have heard, I tore my Achilles' tendon at practice yesterday," Estime tweeted. "Even though this will keep me out for the 2017 season, the New York Jets will be keeping me around on their injured reserve once I Clear waivers.
