As a new round of first-year talents take the field for the first time in the Gang Green, the Jets made room on the roster by letting a trio of others head elsewhere.
Wide receiver Stacy Coley, cornerback Rashard Robinson and defensive lineman Charles Tapper have all been waived, the team announced Friday:
Coley and Tapper were the most recent additions, joining the team on reserve/futures contracts back in January. They were both impact players in college who have yet to live up to the same level of expectation at the pro level. Coley was originally a seventh-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings, stopping with the New York Giants prior to joining the Jets.
