The New York Jets announced Saturday that they’ve placed CB John Ojo on waivers.
Ojo, 27, wound up going undrafted out of Florida A&M back in 2014. During his college career, he recorded 131 tackles, seven interceptions, and six pass defenses.
Ojo tried out for the Seahawks in May of 2014 before eventually signed on with the Edmonton Eskimos CFL during the 2014 season. He returned to Eskimos the following year, but unfortunately, suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during the preseason last year that cost him the entire 2016 season.
The Jets signed him to a contract this past April.
