Tonight will be a huge night for New York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Officially starting with the first-string team against the Washington Redskins, if Darnold excels, he will easily be in the conversation to start the season for the Jets.
There are a lot of injuries heading into tonight’s Week 2 preseason matchup. As per Jets reporter Eric Allen, running back Trent Cannon, fullback Dimitri Flowers, tight end Neal Sterling, tight end Chris Herndon, wide receiver Jonah Trinnaman, cornerback Kacy Rodgers, kicker Cairo Santos, and offensive guard Brian Winters are all out for tonight’s game.
