Less than 30 minutes after posting David Harris' farewell letter on their official website, the New York Jets announced the signing of linebacker Spencer Paysinger, who began his career with the New York Giants.
So much for letting the nostalgia soak in.
Paysinger was a member of the Giants' Super Bowl-winning team in 2011 after making the squad as an undrafted rookie. He spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins. In 2016, he played 15 games (three starts) and appeared in 315 defensive snaps. He finished with 51 tackles and two fumble recoveries, playing mostly inside linebacker.
