Jets trade for Nate Hairston in desperate cornerback search

The Jets acted on their cornerback desperation by acquiring Nate Hairston for the Colts for a 2020 sixth-round draft pick, the team announced.

Hairston started 11 games in his two seasons for the Colts last season and still has two years left on his contract.

The Jets currently have Trumaine Johnson, Darryl Roberts and Brian Poole as starting cornerbacks, but the depth is dismal after that.

Hairston, 25, was a fifth-round pick out of Temple by Indianapolis in 2017.
