ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- It was a no-brainer. Seemingly one of the easier decisions Jets coach Todd Bowles would face in Sunday's opener against the Bills.

Four minutes remained in the fourth quarter. The Jets had the ball just outside midfield, and trailed Buffalo by nine. Facing a 4th and 8, most in attendance figured the Jets would go for it. They had to.

But they didn't. Bowles elected to punt. The next time the Jets touched the ball, the game was all-but decided. New York lost, 21-12.
