The Jets are going to have a newest new quarterback once they draft Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, or Josh Allen third overall in next month's NFL Draft.
But for now, their newest quarterback is Teddy Bridgewater, whom they signed to a modest, one-year contract (just $500,000 guaranteed) in free agency. Josh McCown (who re-signed) and Bridgewater are the Jets' top two quarterbacks right now.
Bridgwater has essentially missed the past two seasons -- he threw two passes in one game last year -- after suffering a serious knee injury in 2016 training camp.
