The Jets announced on Tuesday that tight end Jace Amaro has been placed on the injured reserve and will miss the season with a torn labrum.
Todd Bowes said Amaro will undergo surgery on his shoulder in the near future.

Amaro, who was the Jets' second-round pick out of Texas Tech last year, suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason opener against the Lions.
As a rookie, Amaro had 38 catches for 345 yards and two touchdowns.
