FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets get quarterback Sam Darnold back in the lineup this week, but they will have to wait longer for the return of tight end Chris Herndon.
Herndon, eligible to play after a four-game suspension, is listed as week-to-week with a hamstring injury and is not expected to play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
"It's legit, it's a legit hamstring," coach Adam Gase said Wednesday. "It's not ideal."
Typical of the Jets' recent luck with injuries, Herndon pulled his hamstring before he was allowed to return to practice.
