It looks like they’ve forgotten the position exists. The Jets targeted a tight end just once in Week 1 against the Browns, an incompletion to Kellen Davis. Starting tight end Jeff Cumberland was not thrown to once.
“I just think we were doing real well in the run game that passing the ball much wasn’t really needed except a few times on third downs,” Cumberland said. “I’m a positive guy, so any time we leave with a win, not matter how it goes, I’m always positive about things.
