FLORHAM PARK -- Jets running back Matt Forte had surgery last year to repair a torn meniscus in his knee. This week, Forte showed up with swelling in said surgically-repaired knee.
He didn't practice Wednesday. The Jets held him out again Thursday. And it sounds like there's at least some concern about just when Forte will be healthy again.
"Right now he did not practice, we'll see how it goes from there," coach Todd Bowles said. "I don't know if it's serious or not. Anytime somebody doesn't practice it's serious for me."
Forte's dealt with various ailments the last few seasons.
