The Jets didn't waste much time before filling the roster spot of recently-waived fullback Julian Howsare.
On Friday, the team announced they had signed tight end Braedon Bowman off the practice squad. Bowman becomes the third tight end on the 53-man roster, joining Kellen Davis and Brandon Bostick.
Bowman, 22, spent the summer with the Jacksonville Jaguars after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama. The Jaguars waived him during the final roster cutdown.
At 6-4 and 240 pounds, Bowman showed promise as a special teams player and blocker with the Jaguars.
