Antonio Allen is coming back to the Jets.
On Tuesday, the team announced they had signed the free-agent safety, who spent the first four years of his career in new York, to a contract. Allen spent the summer with the Texans, but Houston waived him during the final 53-man roster cutdown.
A source close to the situation told NJ Advance Media the deal is a one-year contract. Allen becomes the fourth safety on the Jets' roster, and takes the spot of tight end Brian Parker, whom the Jets waived due to a failed physical Tuesday morning.
