To make room for Hill on the 90-player camp roster, the team has released kicker Andrew Furney.
Hill (6'3", 212) was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona by Oakland on May 12, then was released by the Raiders two weeks later. In 37 games over three seasons at UA, Hill compiled 151 receptions for 2,310 yards (15.3 yards/catch) and 17 touchdowns. His big season came in 2012 when he had 81 catches for 1,364 yards and 11 TDs. He sat out the Wildcats' '13 season with a knee injury.
Furney was signed by the Jets last offseason as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State to compete with Nick Folk during the '14 training camp.
