The Jets have signed free agent wide receiver Rishard Matthews, who could provide a boost to their ailing receiver room. Matthews worked out for the Jets last week.
The Jets were down to two legitimate receiver options -- Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse. They entered the season with Anderson, Kearse, Quincy Enunwa, and Terrelle Pryor as their top four receivers, in some order.
But Enunwa is sidelined with a sprained ankle, and the Jets had to cut Pryor because he couldn't stay healthy. He is recovering from a groin injury now.
