Long Island's Mike Catapano is working out with the Jets on Tuesday, a source confirmed to Newsday.
The 25-year-old defensive end was a surprise cut by the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, as the organization trimmed its roster from 75 to 53 players.
Catapano, a Bayville native who attended Chaminade, became the first Princeton Tiger drafted in more than a decade when the Chiefs selected him in the seventh round in 2013.

But Catapano's release appears to stem from the Chiefs' 3-4 scheme.
"Mike's a good football player and he'll probably hook on with somebody else," Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said on Monday.
