Jets sign DUI complainer to plug hole at running back

The Jets made some moves at running back on their first day of training camp.

The team waived Zac Stacy with a failed physical designation, a source confirmed. Stacy broke his ankle last November in a game against the Bills. To take the roster spot, they signed Bernard Pierce, the source said.

Pierce spent three seasons with the Ravens and played for the Jaguars last year. His best season was with Baltimore in 2012, when he rushed for 532 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens released Pierce in March 2015 after he was stopped for speeding and charged with driving under the influence.
