The Jets added some depth at running back Friday, signing former Chief Charcandrick West.
West was released by Kansas City on Wednesday. The Jets are still searching for a third running back to play behind Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell. Eli McGuire broke his foot on the first day of training camp and remains out. The West signing may be an indication the Jets believe McGuire will not be back soon.
The Jets have tried Thomas Rawls, rookie Trenton Cannon and George Atkinson at running back, but none of them have taken hold of the No. 3 spot.
