Jets Sign CB Nehemiah Shelton

A Familiar Face Returns

Shelton is no stranger to the Jets organization. After going undrafted in 2023, he joined the team last summer and spent time on the Jets practice squad in the fall. His experience with the team, albeit brief, gave him valuable insight into the defensive schemes and coaching philosophies.

Collegiate Standout

Before making his way to the NFL, Shelton had an impressive collegiate career at San Jose State University. He earned All-Mountain West honors in both 2021 and 2022, highlighting his consistent performance on the field. Over 45 games with the Spartans, Shelton amassed 195 tackles, 8 interceptions, and 32 pass defenses.
