Jets sidestep panic button on a season that can spiral fast

Jets coach Todd Bowles emphasized to his team and then to the media on Monday that the Jets have only lost the first quarter of the season. They have three more to go.

“I think we have a chance to still do some things,” Bowles said.

At 1-3, Bowles is not shaking things up — yet.

Bowles said the Jets are sticking with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback, despite Fitzpatrick throwing nine interceptions in the past two games. Fitzpatrick is the first quarterback since Steve DeBerg in 1986 to throw that many interceptions over two games.
