The Jets have added a third kicker to their roster, signing Taylor Bertolet and waiving cornerback Bryson Keeton.
Bertolet, a 25-year-old who has never appeared in a regular-season game, joins Cairo Santos and Nick Rose on the Jets roster. Bertolet played at Texas A&M from 2012-15, making 66 percent of field-goal attempts in college and a career-best 71 percent as a senior. The Pennsylvania native was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2016, but released before the regular season started. Bertolet spent just over a month with the Broncos this spring, but was released on April 30 and was a tryout player in the Jets’ rookie minicamp last weekend.
