Jets' Sam Darnold report card: How did QB perform in start against Giants? Did he lock up the Week 1 job?

Grade: B

Analysis: Darnold is quick and agile – he's constantly shifting around within the pocket or bouncing outside of it to buy himself a little more time. He's not always great about setting his feet before he throws, but he's still able to get off good throws. He didn't have very many routine drop-backs without feeling pressure, so it's tough to grade his fundamentals on the routine plays, but he's good at making things happen when he's uncomfortable and under duress.

Grade: B

Analysis: For the most part, Darnold was sharp on the short throws.
