FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Ryan Fitzpatrick i healthy enough to play after all.
The Jets quarterback, who tore ligaments in his left thumb in Sunday's loss in Oakland, was on the practice field Wednesday, taking snaps under center and throwing short passes during the 20-minute portion of practice open to the media. He wore a glove on his left hand.
Head coach Todd Bowles said this afternoon that Fitzpatrick will start.
Fitzpatrick was forced out of Sunday's game in the first quarter when he was tackled on a 12-yard scramble just minutes into the game against the Raiders.
