Mike Maccagnan's first free-agent class took a hit on Friday, as right tackle Corey Hilliard, 30, announced his retirement. The New York Jets placed him on the reserve-retired list.

Hilliard was the opening-day starter for the Detroit Lions in 2014, but he suffered a Lisfranc foot injury and missed the remainder of the season.
