It looks as if the Jets are going with a youth movement at wide receiver.
The team began reducing its roster to 53 players on Saturday, and so far all three rookie wide receivers remain on the roster. The team cut both Kenbrell Thompkins and Jeremy Ross, veterans who were fighting for spots with the kids.
Rookies Jalin Marshall, Robby Anderson and Charone Peake have had strong training camps, and they are in position to make the team. Things can change, though, later Saturday or Sunday when the Jets can make waiver claims.
The Jets have cut 18 players and defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson will move to the suspended list at 4 p.
