He had his moments during training camp. But there are too many guys ahead of him in the battle for the backup safety spot or spots — Terrence Brooks, Doug Middleton, and J.J. Wilcox. Bryant might be able to land on the practice squad. But if the Jets keep four safeties on the active roster, it is less likely they'll retain a fifth on the practice squad.
