FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The Jets announced that rookie linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin was released from the hospital on Monday after suffering a concussion in a 31-10 win over the Browns on Sunday at Metlife Stadium.
Initially, the team announced that Mauldin had suffered head and neck injuries. But late Sunday night, the organization said the Mauldin had a concussion and that he had feeling in his extremities.
After the game, Jets coach Todd Bowles said he saw "little movement" from Mauldin after he ended up at the bottom of a pile during a Jets fumble return. He eventually made it to his feet but immediately fell forward and was motionless on the turf for several minutes.
