Jets’ Robby Anderson must overcome his Patriots problem

Monday night will be the eighth time Robby Anderson will play the Patriots. The first seven matchups have not gone well for him.

Not only are the Jets 0-7 against the Patriots since Anderson joined the team in 2016, he has been held to 15 catches for 169 yards and zero touchdowns in those games.

So is he due for a big game against Bill Belichick’s squad?

“I hope so,” Anderson said. “We’re going to put in that work and let it develop.”

There is some context to Anderson’s struggles against New England. Of the seven games, a backup quarterback has started four of them, including last month’s game in Foxborough when he caught three passes for 11 yards from Luke Falk.
